Wayne Epperly (Vibhic Art)

MY STORY

I have fond memories as a child sketching during church service. Mom always had pencil and paper to keep me occupied. Sometimes I would sketch a side view of the person sitting if front of us. After service mom would show the sketch to them and they always seemed surprised of what a young child had drawn.

Arts and crafts were always a part of my youth. For Christmas at the age of seven I received my first easel and oil paint set and the love affair began. Today other mediums have found their way into my work, yet paint and canvas still remain my favorite.

What keeps me returning to painting is an ever evolving style of imagery. The process to me is magical, spiritual and somewhat surreal. A work of art is never complete. Each viewer has a different interpretation resulting in a never ending story.

Statement

" The tactile experience of the spring of the canvas when touched by paint on the end of a brush, is a conversation bringing into reality that which already exist in etheric form."
